Home > Media Law YPC Legislative InitiativesOne of the priorities in the activities of Yerevan Press Club is the improvement of the media-related legislation. Being an active participant in legislative activities, YPC has developed and submitted to the RA Government, RA National Assembly and the public an overall concept of legal regulation of the information area. Code 'On Administrative Law Infringements' " Draft Law of the Republic of Armenia "On Grants" was also submitted for the consideration of the Parliament YPC prepared a document on legal regulation of Internet The YPC Draft Laws have been repeatedly discussed with political figures, legal experts, journalists, NGO representatives, were a subject of Parliamentarian hearings. Draft laws and suggestions on denationalization of the enterprises associated with media, on legal regulation of media activities during pre-election campaigns, as well as on definition of the status of non-commercial activities were also introduced to Armenian state bodies. The YPC also provides regular expertise and legal counselling to media and individual journalists.
