YPC awards

The Annual Award of Yerevan Press Club for best journalists and media organizations of Armenia was founded in 1998. In 1998 it was awarded to 5, in 1999 - to 11, in 2000 - to 10, in 2001 - 11, in 2002-2003 - 7, in 2003-2004 - 6, in 2004-2005 - 10, in 2005-2006 - 4, in 2006-2007 - 3, in 2007-2008 - 3, in 2008-2009 - 5, in 2009-2010 - 3 journalists and media organizations.

The congratulatory letter to the Yerevan Press Club, signed the US President William Clinton, President of the European Commission Jacques Santer and the UK Prime-Minister Tony Blair, says, in particular: "... On behalf of the United States of America and the European Union, we are delighted to recognise your courage and commitment to the promotion of the essential principles underlying democracy and civil society."

In May 1998 Yerevan Press Club among 50 organizations and individuals from 28 countries of the Central and Eastern Europe and NIS was awarded the United States of America / European Union Democracy and Civil Society Award
